NO PROOF OF RENTAL PAYMENT. RESOLUTION ACTIVE
This incident occurs because Ministry of Housing records show that your autonomous region has granted you the right to claim allowances. However, in order to be able to start receiving them, you need to prove that you are up-to-date with your rental payments.
Remember that there are two ways of paying rent: you can sign a standing order for a transfer from your account to that of your landlord so that a transfer is emitted every month from your account to your landlord’s account, or your landlord can charge your account directly every month against a direct debit. The method for paying your rent must feature on your resolution. If the correct rental payment method does not appear on your resolution, it will not be possible to check that you are up-to-date with your rental payments. In order to correct it, you should contact your autonomous region.
You should also contact your autonomous region if the bank details that you provided on your allowance application have changed: current account numbers (yours or that of your landlord) or billing information in the case of a direct debit.
If your rental payment method is a transfer, you must provide your bank with a copy of your resolution and sign a standing order so that the rental amount is transferred every month from your account to that of your landlord. If you have already given your bank the resolution, you must check with your bank that the standing order is emitted correctly each month. Check with your branch.
If your rental payment method is via direct debit, you should send the Ministry of Housing the original bills or a photocopy stamped by your bank every two months, which will prove that you are up-to-date with your rental payments. This method of proving payment is temporary, and we are working on a way to perform this verification directly with the banks in order to get round the need to send paper bills to the Ministry of Housing.
When you have proven that you are up-to-date with your rental payments, along with your first allowance payment you will receive all of the arrears from the date the allowance was granted as featured on your resolution.
