INTERRUPTED RENTAL PAYMENT VERIFICATION

This incident occurs when rental payment receipts have ceased to reach the Ministry for two or more months. As the regulations governing these allowances state, being up-to-date with rental payments is an essential condition for receiving the allowance.

If you have stopped paying the rent because you have left the rental property, you must inform your autonomous region.

It is also common for the incident to occur due to non-fulfilment of the standing order that you signed on giving your bank a copy of your resolution. This happens if you do not have funds in your account one month when the order is processed. In such cases, you should contact your bank, so that it can inform the Ministry that although you failed to carry out the standing order, you made other similar transfers and as such, you are up-to-date with your rental payments. Remember that cash payments, cash deposits or any other forms of payment are not acceptable. The incident may also have occurred due to a banking error. In order to resolve the incident, you should contact your bank branch.

Only when you pay the rent via direct debit, must you send the bills, stamped by your bank, to the Ministry of Housing every two months, in order to prove that you are up-to-date with your rental payments.
